How are the cold pressed juices made?
We use a hydraulic cold press to make juice from fresh ingredients without exposing them to heat. Therefore maximum taste and nutrients are retained. To preserve all freshness and taste in our bottles we use a High Pressure Processing technique (HPP)!
What is High Pressure Processing (HPP)?
In High Pressure Processing (HPP) our bottles of juices are immersed in cold water for 3 minutes at a pressure 5 times greater than the deepest part of the ocean. The extreme pressure inactivates the pathogens in the juices while maintaining all the good vitamins and nutrients. This process allows us to ensure safety and helps to retain flavours and nutrients.
What is Cold Pressed?
What is it that makes cold pressed juices different to any other, regular juice? The answer is quite simple and it’s all in the technique. Cold pressing refers to the way in which the fruits and vegetables are crushed and squeezed hydraulically. The term “cold” refers to avoiding heat during the extraction process, meaning minimal generation of heat thus minimal oxidation and maximal retention of nutrients. The process of cold pressing is two fold: first the ingredients are grounded to a pulp and then the hydraulic press will literally press the juice out of the pulp. As a cold press doesn’t use blades the fruits and vegetables are minimally exposed to heat, which maximizes enzymes, nutrients and taste.
Is natur. raw?
Yes, the temperature of the juice doesn’t rise above room temperature during the production process.
How long can I keep a juice for once it's been opened?
At what temperature do I need to keep the juices?
The juices need to be kept at a temperature between 2 and 7 degrees at all time. Therefore, we highly recommend that you refrigerate the juices once you receive them.
The juice seperates, is that OK?
Juice-separation is a natural process of fresh juice. Just shake the juice firmly before you drink it to maximise the taste and structure.
Are the bottles BPA (bisphenol A) free?
Yes. The PET (Polyethylene terephthalate) bottles we use are 100% BPA free.
Why don't you use glass bottles?
At the moment, plastic is the most environmentally friendly option we can choose. It needs fewer resources to create, fill, ship and distribute than glass. We use PET #1 plastic because Polyethylene terephthalate (PET or PETE) #1 does not leak, and is considered the safest choice for single use plastic. Also, this type of plastic is the most efficient type for recycling. It’s much lighter than glass, so we have to use less fuel for transport and you will have less weight to carry, glass is up to nine times as much weight than plastic. In addition, HPP is only possible in plastic bottles because glass cannot withstand the high pressure.
Do natur. juices contain sugar?
Natur. juices do not contain any added sugar. However, they do contain naturally occurring sugars of fruits and vegetables.
Are natur. juices lactose free?
Yes,but all juices may contain traces of milk products because of other products processed in the same factory.
Are natur. juices gluten free?
All juices are gluten free, however they may contain traces of gluten because of other products processed in the same factory.
